Argyle

The winery in Dundee in the US state of Oregon was founded in 1987 by Australian Brian Croser and Texan Rollin Soles. Soles is responsible for the vinification. Initially, shares in the historic Knudsen vineyard were acquired and later further areas were purchased. The three vineyards Knudsen Vineyard, Stoller Vineyard and Lone Star Vineyard in the North Willamotte Valley cover 140 hectares of vines. They are planted with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and Merlot. The premium wines include "Nuthouse Pinot Noir", "Reserve Merlot", "Willamotte Valley Chardonnay" and "Willamotte Valley Pinot Noir". Sparkling wine is also produced, for example "Extended Tirage Brut" (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir).
