The Araujo Estate Wines in Calistoga in the north-east of California's Napa Valley was founded in 1990 by Bart and his wife Daphne Araujo. He acquired one of the most famous vineyards in California called Eisele Vineyard, which had already been planted in 1880. The vineyard covers almost 16 hectares. The estate building and the winery were newly built. The well-known consultant David Abreu was hired to support the construction. Among the premium wines are the red wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Besides wine, grappa, honey and olive oil are also produced.
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
