The red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between (Nimrang x Pamyati Michurina) x Dattier de St. Vallier. It contains genes of Vitis amurensis, Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in 1961 by M. S. Zhuravel in Moldova. It is cultivated in Russia. In 2010, the area under vines was 146 hectares (statistics Kym Anderson).
