The winery is located in the municipality of Neef (in the area of Cochem Castle) in the German Moselle wine-growing region. The coat of arms of the traditional family dates back to 1570. In 1997, the country inn "Zur Blauen Traube" was opened. Guest rooms and holiday flats are also available for rent. The winery is run by Hans-Peter Amlinger, and his son Christian Amlinger has been working in the winery since 2006 after completing his studies as a Dilpom business information scientist and internships in various wineries.
The vineyards cover ten hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Abtei Klosterstuben and Calmont (Bremm), Frauenberg, Petersberg and Rosenberg (Neef) as well as Brautrock (Bullay). The white wine varieties Riesling, Chardonnay, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Elbling and Optima, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Regent, Dunkelfelder, Cabernet Dorsa and Pinot Meunier are cultivated and processed.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
