Aletta

The white grape variety (also Egri Csillagok 18) is an interspecific new variety between Muscat Ottonel x Eger 2(Villard Blanc). It contains genes from Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in Hungary by the breeder József Csizmazia. The vine is resistant to various fungal diseases. In 2016, a cultivated area of 1,676 hectares was designated in Hungary with a strong upward trend (Kym Anderson).
