The DOC area in the Portuguese region of Lisboa is named after the city of the same name. The area is characterised by 160 quintas (wineries), often with castle-like buildings (like French châteaux), whose roots go back to the Middle Ages. The red and white wines are made from the indigenous varieties Arinto, Camarate Tinto, Fernão Pires, Jampal, Mortágua (Trincadeira Preta), Periquita (Castelão Francês), Preto Martinho, Tinta Miúda (Graciano) and Vital. The most famous wineries are Quinta de Abrigada, Quinta de Plátanos and Quinta do Carneiro.
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
