The white grape variety originates from Spain. Synonyms are Aledo de Navidad, Aledo Real, Alento, Cherta and Real. The parentage is unknown. It is used as a winepress and table grape. The variety is grown in the La Mancha (1.5 ha) and Valencia (0.5 ha) areas. In 2016, two hectares of vines were recorded (Kym Anderson).
