The winery "Cantina Alcesti" is located in Marsala in the province of Trapani on the Italian island or wine region of Sicily. The family has been here for many generations, but since 2003 they have been producing their own wine. Before that the grapes were sold to large wineries. The whole business has been renewed and reorganized, from the delivery of the grapes, the temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to the cellar with the Tonnaux and French barriques. The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vineyards planted with the indigenous varieties Nero d'Avola, Grillo, Grecanico and Pignatello (Perricone), as well as the international varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. The annual production is around 200,000 bottles of wine, two thirds of which are white wines and one third red wines.
