The white grape variety comes from Spain. Synonyms are Albilla, Albilla de Manchuela and (as second main name) Albillo del Pozo. It should not be confused with the Albillo Mayor, Albillo Real or Palomino (Albillo de Lucena) varieties, even though synonyms or morphological similarities seem to indicate this (see also a complete list under Albillo). This variety produces white wines with aromas of honey and apples. It is cultivated in the province of Albacete (Castile-LaMancha), which gives the variety its name, and is authorised in the Manchuela DO area. However, no stocks were recorded in 2010 (Statistics Kym Anderson).
