Albillo de Albacete

The white grape variety comes from Spain. Synonyms are Albilla, Albilla de Manchuela and Albillo del Pozo. It should not be confused with Albillo Mayor, Albillo Real or Palomino (Albillo de Lucena), despite the fact that there are apparently synonyms or morphological similarities (see also a complete list under Albillo). This variety produces white wines with aromas of honey and apples. It is cultivated in the province of Albacete (Castile-LaMancha), which gives the variety its name, and is authorised in the Manchuela DO area. However, no stock was recorded in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
