There are at least two grape varieties with this name. Alba is also a frequently used component of grape variety names and indicates the colour of the berries.
The white grape variety (also Gargiulo 90412) is a new variety between Molinera Gorda (white) x Cardinal (red). The crossing was made in Argentina. The vine is mainly used as table grape. The berries have a muscatel tone. In 2016, however, no stocks were reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
