DOC area for red wine in the Italian region of Piedmont. The zone includes over 50 municipalities in the province of Cuneo. The red wine (also called Riserva) is made from Nebbiolo (70-85%), Barbera (15-30%), as well as other authorised varieties (max. 5%). If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna can be indicated followed by the name of the vineyard.
