The winery is located in the town of Krems in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Kremstal. The family has been making wine for over 200 years and is now in its ninth generation. A guesthouse opened in 1999 is attached. The winery has been run by Wolfgang Aigner since 1990. In 2006, a new farm building was completed. The vineyards cover 14 hectares in the Frechau, Sandgrube, Thalland and Weinzierlberg sites. They are 80% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (more than half), Riesling, Rivaner, Chardonnay and Gelber Muskateller, and 20% with the red wine varieties Blauburger and Zweigelt. The vineyards are cultivated according to the strict guidelines of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Yields are limited by thinning out about a third of the grapes. The wines are almost exclusively dry and fruity. Premium wines include, for example, various Rieslings and Grüner Veltliner Kremstal DAC and Zweigelt. In years with suitable weather conditions, an ice wine is also produced. Around 60,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Noble brandies are also produced. The winery is a member of the "Original Kremser Wein" winegrowers' association.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
