Agroscope Changins-Wädenswil (ACW) was an organisational unit of the Swiss Federal Agricultural Research Station Agroscope from 2006 until it was reorganised in 2014. It was created by merging the research sites at Changins in the canton of Vaud and Wädenswil in the canton of Zurich.
The institution was responsible for research work in the areas of arable and fodder crops, fruit, vine, vegetable and ornamental plant cultivation as well as berries, medicinal and aromatic plants. It also carried out tasks relating to the enforcement and control of agricultural production resources such as plant protection products and plant variety protection. The Agroscope Changins-Wädenswil sites were the eponymous locations Changins and Wädenswil. These two sites are particularly important for research in fruit growing and viticulture.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
