The winery is located in the municipality of Münster-Sarmsheim in the German wine-growing region of Nahe. The traditional family has been active in the Bingen area as coopers and in viticulture since the 11th century. Even before the First World War, they started growing wine here and bottling it at the same time. In the meantime, an import company including wine wholesale has also become part of the business. Today, the business is run by the brothers Carl-Günther and Jens Adelseck. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vines in the single vineyards Liebehöll (Sarmsheim), Fuchsen, Karthäuser and Vogelsang (Laubenheim), as well as Dautenpflänzer, Kapellenberg and Pittersberg (Münster-Sarmsheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (40%), Scheurebe, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Chardonnay, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser, Dornfelder and Cabernet Sauvignon. Great importance is attached to environmentally friendly, near-natural cultivation of the vineyards, reduced yields and gentle processing in the cellar. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and a vintner's mulled wine are also produced. The annual production volume is around 95,000 bottles.
