Achs Werner

Producer description of "Weingut Werner Achs"
The winery is located in the municipality of Gols in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). It was founded by Werner Achs in 1999 after information trips to France and Italy and a new production facility was built on the Goldberg. The vineyards comprise 11 hectares of vineyards in the Altenberg and Goldberg areas. They are 100% planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and St. Laurent. The premium wines are the Cuvée XUR (the three varieties) aged for 21 months in new barriques and the Blauer Zweigelt Goldberg aged for 11 months in used barriques.
