Abundant

The white grape variety (the name means "Fertile") is a new breed between Madeleine Royale x Kövidinka. Synonyms include Abondant Blanc, Abundante, Wanner, and Wannerrebe. The crossing was carried out by the private breeder Alexander Wanner in Laquenexy in France-Lorraine. The medium ripening, high-yielding vine produces simple, neutral-tasting white wines. The variety is grown in Alsace and Lorraine. In 2016, however, less than one hectare was recorded in France (Statistics Kym Anderson).
