Abstinence

Informations about "Abstinence" in news+stories

Term for abstinence (lat. abstinere = to abstain). The term is often associated with abstaining from alcohol or meat dishes or also with sexual abstinence. Especially "abstainer" colloquially refers to a person who lives abstinently with regard to alcohol.
